Thought Process Enterprises (TPE) is a full service design, development, and promotional business established in November 2006 by current president, Eric Venezie. Thought Process’ work is currently performed at its office location on Lawrence Avenue in downtown Ellwood City, PA.
TPE was first established as a business name for an entrepreneurship opportunity Mr. Venezie sought in the fall of 2006. Mr. Venezie, while finishing his degree at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, had designed a creative logo and fictitious name for use in a graphic design course. He later found business designing and selling creative t-shirts and other promotional products. The name of the product line, Tommy TwoStep, was TPE’s first brand. Mr. Venezie had founded blog and resold custom designed Tommy TwoStep t-shirts on-line.
In 2007, TPE began negotiations with EllwoodCity.org and Ellwoodwebs.com about partnership and ownership of intellectual properties. In April 2007, TPE purchased the rights to both websites. TPE is continuing to maintain and update EllwoodCity.org with community news, pictures, and advertising opportunities. TPE has developed EllwoodCity.org in to one of the area’s top community resources for all things “Ellwood City.” The current staff includes a journalist, sales manager, and two web analysts. In addition, EllwoodCity.org has field journalists and photographers who cover the area’s local news and events.
With its new identity, TPE began negotiating with past and current Ellwood Webs Internet customers in satisfying customer web needs. Housing former web customers, TPE has assumed responsibilities in providing customer care and web design expertise to past customers as well as welcoming over 60 new customers to the World Wide Web. All included, TPE has consulted with over 120 area businesses in finding web solutions for their business.
Within two years TPE expanded once more, stepping in and acquiring a local printing business to further stretch TPE’s business model. The Color Center was acquired in November 2008, moved into a new and larger studio location, and has been an anchor storefront in downtown Ellwood City ever since. With its increased line of services, expanded hours of service, and newly formed design team, The Color Center has been aiding area businesses with graphic design, printing, and promotional needs for over three years at its current location, and has been servicing businesses since 1996.
In January 2013, TPE acquired a local commercial sign outfitter, Signs by Sam, to supplement its commercial printing demographic. This strategic acquisition now allows for cross-platform design and consulting, helping to ensure TPE clients receive consistent design identity across all marks of business — web, print, and more!
Most recently, and throughout 2013, Thought Process began soliciting and meeting with various Western Pennsylvania school districts to bring their online advertising network opportunity to the attention of school districts and advertises alike. As of the beginning of 2015 TPE has contracted to provide consulting services with over twenty districts who will be joining forces along in comprising a regional advertising network.
With its web design, community news related, printing, and signage divisions all comprised, Thought Process Enterprises has a staff of 12 design experts with over 85 years of experience in the field.
